Mansfield 123-4095 400 Series Faucet Stem. The 123-4095 is designed for a 12 inch frost protection, the stem will measure about 16" from end to end. Stem comes complete with the packing washer, packing, and spring-loaded end. This stem does not come with the packing nut. The washers and O-rings also come with the stem. All washers and O-rings come installed for when you order. The spring loaded end goes inside the body of the faucet. The stem itself is copper. However the spring loaded end is brass. The handle on this stem turns 180 degrees on. Therefore to turn on the faucet, the handle will turn half of a full rotation. The Mansfield 400, and 500 series faucets get confused for one another quite frequently. The most common cause of this, is that the faucets, and the parts for them look identical. The only difference in the two is the thread pitch of the stem below the spring-loaded end. The best way to tell the difference between the 400, and 500 series faucets is the age. 400 Series faucets where made from 2006 to present, and the 500 series faucets where made from before 2006.
