If your 490V Arrowhead Brass faucet is leaking out of the spout when turned off, that could mean one of two things. First, the seal on the end of the stem has went bad and isn't seating all of the way allowing water to drip through. If this is the case, you can replace the seal on the end of the stem to fix the issue. The seal comes in the PK1000 stem seal kit.
However, If your faucet has been leaking for a long period of time, meaning months or longer, it could have pierced the seat in the faucet. This happens when the faucet is under pressure for too long. If this is the case, the faucet will have to be replaced.
