If the faucet is leaking from the vacuum breaker cap, which is the cap located on top of the faucet. It is most likely due to a damaged vacuum breaker body, or the cap itself. Arrowhead Brass offers the PK1430 which includes the complete air vent, or cap assembly. This kit should fix the leak. The original cap on the 455 Apache was metal. This part was discontinued with the faucet in 2008. The new cap is a hard plastic, and is green. The vacuum breakers job is to allow air into the system, while preventing any water from being siphoned back into the plumbing system.
