When the 450 series faucet is leaking from the spout it is usually due to the rubber seat washer located on the end of the stem with the brass square piece. If this washer gets damaged it will allow the water to pass through, and leak out of the spout. This issue can be resolved by replacing the seat washer. Arrowhead Brass offers the PK1000 stem seal kit which includes, the nylon bonnet washer, hose Bibb nylon washer, seat washer, seat washer screw, and the handle screw. This kit should be the correct fix for the leak.
