The Prier 300-1008 Valve Stem Cap. This valve stem cap fits a few different outdoor hydrants. The Prier valve stem cap is a chrome finish. Therefore it has a rough feel to it. Also the larger end of the cap is threaded. The smaller end of the cap is smooth on the inside. The valve stem cap holds the stem and packing material into the faucet.
The 300-1008 valve stem cap fits Prier 134, 144, and 108 wall faucets. The overall length of the cap is about 1 1/4 inches. The inside diameter of the wide opening is 1 inch. Also the inside diameter of the bottom of the cap is about 3/4 of an inch. The outside diameter of the wide end is 1 3/16. However the outside diameter of the bottom is only 15/16.
One end of the Prier 300-1008 Valve Stem Cap has female thread. Therefore that means the threads are on the inside of the part. Mansfield's brass division was bought by Prier. Therefore now Prier makes the genuine parts for the faucets. In conclusion, This cap goes over the body in between the packing nut and the stem. This part is a genuine prier part.
